May is Mental Health Awareness Month. On today’s show Jenn Orcutt and I have a uplifting, stigma-busting conversation surrounding mental health. Jenn and I share our experiences with the goal to not only get the conversation started, but also share the tools and resources we’ve used to make our lives ones of joy and growth. Neither of us are defined by our past with mental illness, rather it’s given us a platform to become more self aware and intentional about creating a joyful life, despite our struggles.

On this episode we talk about:

  • Jenn & my experiences with our own mental health
  • how to reach out for help
  • how mental illness looks different on different people
  • the tools we’ve used to help us grow, heal, thrive
  • why therapy is amazing
  • how to find the right tools to help you process your feelings
  • creating a support system & how to help others help you
  • how to navigate difficult life transitions
  • social media’s impact on our mental health - how do we find a balance?
  • how to get unstuck

This episode is perfect for anyone who:

  • has struggled with anxiety, eating disorders, depression or OCD
  • has someone they love who has struggled with mental illness
  • is curious about other’s experience with mental health
  • wants to learn tools to cope in anxiety triggering experiences
  • is looking for a little hope
  • needs a reminder that they aren’t alone or crazy
  • is in a period of stressful change or transition
